We are always looking for people interested in history to join our organisation.

History Redcliffe meets on the second Friday of each month at 2.00pm. Meetings are usually held at the Redcliffe Library Meeting Room but this may vary so be sure to check the event listing for any venue changes.

At these meetings we always feature an interesting speaker. They cover a wide range of topics such as:

  • Exploration of Underwater Wrecks.
  • Early Ferries to Redcliffe.
  • Picture Theatres of Redcliffe.
  • Fishing at Redcliffe.
  • Medicine – Past and Present.
  • Redcliffe during war time.
  • Construction of Piers and Bridges around Redcliffe.
  • Redcliffe Old and New.

Benefits of joining

There are several benefits to becoming a member of our organisation. Our members become close friends and we have a great time when we get together.

  • Hear an excellent speaker at our monthly meetings.
  • Receive a quarterly newsletter.
  • Have the opportunity to take part in research into local history.
  • Meet members who have helped to make Redcliffe history.
  • Use the Society’s library and archives.
  • Be a part of an organisation committed to the recording and storage of Redcliffe history.

Because we also share a common interest, we hope to further our cause.
