February 2022 meeting postponed

Due to the current outbreak of COVID in our community, History Redcliffe Management Committee have decided to postpone our general meeting on 4th February, 2022.

Hopefully by Friday 4th March, the current outbreak may have subsided enough to allow our meeting to be held without risk to our health.

Sincere apologies for any inconvenience this cancellation causes.

We are committed to keeping our members, guests and visitors safe.

2021 AGM postponed

History Redcliffe’s 2021 Annual General Meeting was scheduled to occur on Friday 6th August. This falls in the recently extended lockdown period. As such, we have now postponed the AGM.

We are endeavouring to reschedule this important meeting for later this month. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

History Redcliffe is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all our members, guests and visitors.

July 2021 meeting cancelled

After this morning’s Queensland COVID-19 announcement History Redcliffe Management Committee agreed to cancel this Friday’s General Meeting.

We thank you for your understanding and assure you this step was taken with your health and safety as our priority.

At this time we will be monitoring the situation with the intention of going ahead with our Annual General Meeting (currently scheduled for Friday 6th August).

2021 Annual General Meeting **RESCHEDULED

Our AGM has been rescheduled from August and will now be held in place of our September meeting.

No guest speaker. The film “Redcliffe Built By Hand” will be screened.

Builders, Jim Fortune and Bob Strathearn, talk with Marle Juster about the early days of building on the Peninsula. Hear their stories as they visit some of the older houses and discuss former building methods.

April 2021 meeting cancelled

Due to COVID-19 regulations, History Redcliffe regrets that we must cancel our scheduled April members meeting. The health and safety of our members, visitors and guest speakers is paramount.  We anticipate a return to normal later this month.

September Meeting Cancelled

Following additional COVID-19 restrictions for the greater Brisbane area (including Moreton Bay Region), History Redcliffe regrets that we must cancel our scheduled September members meeting. The health and safety of our members, visitors and guest speakers is paramount.

Our next newsletter will be out soon so we look forward to keeping in touch with our members in that way. We look forward to resuming usual activities and meetings when it is safe and prudent to do so.
