No meeting today, but…

Our usual monthly meeting is not on today but don’t despair! There’s a good reason!

From tomorrow (7th September) to next Saturday (14th September) we have a load of events for you to attend. We are giving you today off to save yourself for all that we have on offer for the week to come.

We kick off strong tomorrow with the Wunya Ngulum Welcome Everyone Moreton Bay Bicentennial Commemoration Conference.

On Sunday, conference attendees are invited to join us for the first escorted walk along the brand spanking new Humpybong Trail. Book here: https://www.eventbookings.com/b/event/humpybong-trail-for-wunya-ngulum-attendees

Monday’s offering is a talk at Redcliffe Library. Bookings required via the City of Moreton Bay Libraries page.

On Tuesday, we’ve got another escorted walk. This one is the History Trail. Cost includes morning tea. The walk will depart from the Information Centre at Redcliffe Jetty. Book here: https://www.eventbookings.com/b/event/history-trail

Then on Wednesday, we’re hosting a lovely Afternoon Tea and Talk at the CWA Hall in Redcliffe. Our distinguished local historian, Pat Gee, will be the speaker for the event, providing valuable insights into the life of Redcliffe pioneer, Mary Phoebe Tubbs. Cost is $15 and you can book here: https://www.eventbookings.com/b/event/afternoon-tea-and-talk-redcliffe-remembers

Thursday’s event is a morning tea for the Descendants. This one is invitation only.

On Friday, we invite you to have a bit more of a chill day. Why not check out the historic photographs in Cominos Arcade in Redcliffe. There’s lots to see!

Now that you’re rested on Friday, come and join us on Saturday 14th for our massive Picnic in the Park event which will round out the week. Check out the event page for more info and we’ll see you there!
