No meeting today, but…

Our usual monthly meeting is not on today but don’t despair! There’s a good reason!

From tomorrow (7th September) to next Saturday (14th September) we have a load of events for you to attend. We are giving you today off to save yourself for all that we have on offer for the week to come.

We kick off strong tomorrow with the Wunya Ngulum Welcome Everyone Moreton Bay Bicentennial Commemoration Conference.

Monday’s offering is a talk at Redcliffe Library. Bookings required via the City of Moreton Bay Libraries page.

Then on Wednesday, we’re hosting a lovely Afternoon Tea and Talk at the CWA Hall in Redcliffe. Our distinguished local historian, Pat Gee, will be the speaker for the event, providing valuable insights into the life of Redcliffe pioneer, Mary Phoebe Tubbs. Thursday’s event is a morning tea for the Descendants. This one is invitation only.

On Friday, we invite you to have a bit more of a chill day. Why not check out the historic photographs in Cominos Arcade in Redcliffe. There’s lots to see!

It’s not long now until our Redcliffe Remembers week of events kicks off!

The week begins with a bang on Saturday 7th September in the form of the Wunya Ngulum Welcome Everyone Moreton Bay Commemoration Conference. Then we follow that up on Sunday 8th with the first guided walk of the new Humpybong Trail. This event is especially for the conference attendees. Click here to book.

Then on Wednesday 11th, we’d love you to join us for an Afternoon Tea and Talk on the life of Mary Phoebe Tubbs. She was an interesting character and our wonderful speaker for the event is none other than our own local historian extraordinaire, Pat Gee. Our bumper week finishes off on Saturday 14th September with our Picnic in the Park. There’s something for everyone so bring the kids, bring your friends, bring your granny and let’s all come together to support our local community and commemorate the milestone of 200 years.
